Mountain climbing in Bolivia with Paula by Yvonne Hynson.

Yvonne:  This afternoon I’m talking to Paula.  (Paula: Hallo.)  Paula, do you want to tell me what we are going to talk about this afternoon.
Paula:  Arh, well you know that I went to Bolivia a few years ago and… climbed a mountain there, which was 6000 metres high and… I’m… keen to talk about that.
Y:  Cool.  Right.  So Bolivia …let’s have a look straight away.  Where’s Bolivia  on our map?  Where, where did you fly in?
P:  OK so I flew in … to Chile, in Santiago and we travelled down through Chile, back up through Argentina, up to Peru and then across to Bolivia.  (Shows places with her hands.)   When we were in Argentina (Points to place on the map.) we did some um tramping in this area down here and met a guy who was very keen on climbing.  And I said to him I’d be quite keen to climb over 6000 metres  because… on my last trip to  South America in Equador, (Circles Equador with her finger on the map.) I climbed about four mountains that were in the 5000 metre range and I thought it’d be quite um a challenge to get over 6000 metres.  Ar…the guy I met there recommended a mountain very close to La Paz…(Points to La Paz with her finger.) called Huayna Potosi which is just over 6000 metres tall and basically it’s really easy to um get guides and organise a trip to do that without …a huge amount of technical experience.
